"We" are not a single individual. We must gather and hunt together. In order to be strong, we must strengthen our weakest links.
According to Darwin's theories on survival of the fittest, the strong survive and the weak are eliminated.
We are all strong in different areas. Using these different forces can create jobs and opportunities and quality of life for many.
In Sun Tzu's book, "The Art of War":
The art of war is of vital importance to the State. It is a matter of life and death, a road either to safety or to ruin. Hence it is a subject of inquiry which can on no account be neglected
Always ask questions. Pay attention to details but also the details of the forest and the trees.
Business is a collective approach. When the forces are aligned with strategic placements certain events should they occur, the business must be ready to receive. It is not by trickery that one will win long term but by excellence and solid execution.
Ask yourself, if the price, appearance and everything about an item is exactly the same, why do certain sales people do better than others.
The quick answer is their networking experiences and wide network. That is the wrong answer. It isn't about the quantity but instead the quality of people who know you.
There is an exact path of making this happen. This approach can be taught and each person can harness this gift.
Utilize every opportunity to deliver success to others. But only do this for the right people. Those who are in the greatest pain have the greatest chance to appreciate you for helping them. Remember: Contracts, words and agreements come before all works because it is a state of mind for everyone.
For them: This state of mind allows you to know exactly what was asked and a reminder for everyone that you did or did not execute.
For you: You can lay these out onto the table. And observe them like your resume. Ask yourself, did this job or this degree make any sense? How can this make any sense so that I can align my work to others who will meet me in the future?
More powerful than theories or books, this is the Universal Law and it guarantees results because it is a law. It is the Law of Conservation. It will become increasing necessary to apply when you achieve greater levels of success. The successful don't have a problem finding opportunities because opportunity comes knocking. This is a bad sign.
Just like a woman or man who is attractive. It is the attraction that can be their downfall.
Understanding early on, the Laws of Conservation allows you to eliminate the diluting opportunities and to focus on the complementary tasks. Positive values can be assigned to these and parameters can be set. The more time it "costs" to deliver is given increasingly negative value because time is a unit noted in the Laws of Conservation.
The wise will apply screening that goes beyond monetary rewards. Like a game of chess, you only have so many moves and so many pieces. Choose each move wisely, time is of essence.
Think about your network. Why is it filled with people who can't get you farther in life? They are not bad people. Cold does not exist because cold is actually the absence of heat. We measure heat. Measure the people in your network and create your network with value. One common mistake is people only add individuals with money to their group. This has no value for creation because they already have money. If you want to create wealth you need a network not of poor and not of rich. It is not the proper mathematical assignment.
The answers and paths are given specifically to each case.
Story: At the age of 18, a boy receives a scholarship. It should have been the best experience and the parents are so proud because they are a poor family and the oldest of sons gets to go to University is a wonderful blessing.
When the celebrations end, the boy cries, "Whoa is me. For I don't have any $ to pay my rent + food. Truly, I shall be in debt for life"
The boy knocked on all the doors of every fraternity (known as a place of brotherhood) and offers his services as a cook for 90 fraternity brothers. They are hesitant but hungry. The boy also offers to pay them $50/month. Average public rental costs of $600/month was constructively avoided and it now cost the boy only $600/year. He also was able to feed himself. Sorority girls and friends asked, how is this a place to live? The boy smiles and answered, it is warm next to the 2 dryers and moist next to the 2 washers.
The boy desired to be well versed in technology. He already aced all his exams and had a report card at the University with all A's. He took this report to every science professor and offered his services in research and discovery. He told all the graduate students, let me do the work for you. The professor accepted and paid the boy $10/daily for research & development. The boy was happy because it taught him lots of opportunity and allowed him to apply for additional research opportunities.
The next year, the boy received a grant from a scholarship called the Howard Hughes fellowship. The boy said to the professor, please keep the money, I can use the Howard Hughes scholarship and that pays $30/day. The professor was pleased and taught the boy many strategies.
Other professors heard about such a boy. They offered him other positions and work. The boy saved this money. Every professor was happy because the boy always gave his time, effort and save them money and they gave the boy their knowledge, experience and wisdom in return.
Three and a half years later, corporations paid the boy significantly more for his time. They took him away for a full year, gave him a place to live, think and to do research. They brought professors from around the world: Columbia, Cornell, Harvard, etc. This company wanted to become the little company that could. Today this company is known as Pfizer Pharmaceuticals. The boy returned and graduated top of his class and University. The examinations no longer were difficult for the power and experience of many had become infused into him.
I am that boy. These stories provide you with a glimpse of what it took. Nothing comes for free but it is not the cost necessarily of money. I paid the dues of academia and served many companies before I could even think about becoming a strategist. I wrote my professors and thanked them. One of them humbly replied, "No need to thank me, I just happened to be there when you arrived. Just remember to always be willing to help others as I have helped you ... "
Every opportunity had a cost. Each cost was evaluated not for its present worth but its future value. I look at myself everyday and I say, "God has given humankind an opportunity to create and deliver, I want to be the most passionate strategist I can be!".
I read somewhere that, "While failure is the mother of success ... passion are the wings!"
... It is true.
Write me your offer and we can discuss the deal and opportunity cost of my involvement. I find enjoyment in solving problems strategically and correctly.
