Academic Tutor

Academic tutors are expert teachers in a particular area of academic study. Generally specializing in one field of learning, such as biology, history, chemistry, mathematics, anatomy, english, etc, academic tutors guide and train individuals in the field of their specialty. Whether the client needs basic instruction to help get ahead in their class or advanced technical aid with research papers, academic tutors are equipped to assist individuals with whatever their difficulties and needs may be. Often, academic tutors will come to the home of the client, especially in the case of younger clients who cannot easily transport themselves, but equally as often, academic tutors will meet their clients at their school or library to have their appointment in the academic environment. In special cases, academic tutoring can be done on the internet, using webcams or some type of video or audio conferencing. Depending on their level of education, academic tutors can assist middle school, high school, or college level students. Academic tutors are expected to have at least passed the course, or similar, of what they are intending to teach.
