Architect

Architects are professional designers of a wide variety of structures including homes, business buildings, schools, churches, bridges, airport terminals, and more. Architects not only design the look of the building, both interior and exterior, they design the building's framework and foundation, which must be structurally safe and strong, and must fully adhere to the proper regulations, guidelines, and codes of the city, state, and country which the building is to be built. Beyond that, an architect's major aim is to meet the needs of their clients, and try their best to find the right design and concept that the client is after. Once the client and architect come to agreement on the design, architects then draw up the final plans, which will show with great detail what the building will look like, its supports and blueprints, its electrical and plumbing systems, and more, so that a general contractor may take the plans and begin construction.
