Windows can be boarded up for a variety of reasons for both commercial and residential structures. During emergency, when tornadoes, hurricanes, or large storms are on approach, boarding up a home's windows can help ensure that the windows themselves, as well as the interior of a house or office is kept safe. Or, when a window is already broken, a specialist may be hired to board up the open space temporarily to prevent energy loss and theft.
