Car washers and polishers are the specialists responsible for the cleaning and waxing of dirty vehicles' exteriors, and the detailing of their interiors. In general, a complete car wash and polish has a variety of steps including a thorough wash and wax of the car's exterior, vacuum of it's interior, clean and polish of the dashboard, and cleaning of the interior of the windows. Depending on their specialty, car washing professionals may or may not offer all those services. Car washers use a wide range of detergents, soap, shampoo, polishers, and solutions to use on the many types of surfaces in modern cars. In many cases, car washers and polishers will also top off some of the car's fluids, especially windshield wiper fluid. Car washers and polishers often operate out of a business with other professionals, in order to quickly wash and detail vehicles as a convenience to customers, to keep them from having to wait a long time. Car washers also often operate singlehandedly, and will come to their clients' homes, allowing them to wait in the comfort of their own home while their car is being serviced.
