General Contractor

General contractors plan, supervise, and coordinate a wide variety of construction projects, overseeing the various entities working on a construction project. During any construction project, a wide variety of technical and labor intensive tasks will be performed simultaneously: electrical wiring, carpentry, lighting, flooring, roofing, plumbing, and more. General contractors supervise and oversee all the various projects and subcontractors, to ensure that things are being done on schedule and up to code. On larger construction projects, general contractors may just oversee a portion of the project, but on most residential and small commercial projects, the general contractor oversees the entire thing. General contractors have three main responsibilities. One, to ensure that each construction project they supervise is being done in a timely manner. Two that all structures are safe each step of the way, and up to code. And three, that the agreed upon budget is being met.
