Music Instructor
|
Music instructors are professional trainers in the wide variety of stringed, percussion, and brass instruments that exist, the most major of which are the guitar, saxophone, piano, violin, flute, and many more. Music instructors usually specialize in a single instrument and tutor individuals who are wanting training in that instrument. They also can specialize in classical or current musical styles. Often working from a studio in a music store, music instructors take clients for regular appointments teaching their students the basic fundamentals of the instrument and the rhythm of how to play it, or else augmenting their training from another program.
Music instructors also often train their students from the student's home, especially in the case of piano teachers and younger students who cannot always transport themselves to appointments. In either case, music instructors generally teach one on one, though often, when at the home of their student, a music instructor will be hired to teach multiple members of the family at the same time. Or if one student is more advanced in skill than the other, to do back to back sessions during the appointment.
