RV Diagnostics and Repair
|
RV, or recreational vehicle, diagnostics and repair technicians are specialists familiar with the wide variety of complex systems and components that come together in tandem to make RVs function, whether they be mechanical, electrical, or other types of systems. Many of the systems of an RV are similar to that of other vehicles – engines, transmissions, tires, exhaust systems, etc – but recreational vehicles have many additional systems which most other vehicles do not, such as refrigerators, stoves, exterior lighting, solar panels, home living spaces, plumbing, and many more.
For general mechanical breakdowns, RVs can generally be serviced by a normal automotive mechanic. But when the specialty systems break down, RV mechanics are needed to restore them to proper working order. RV repair technicians are trained in the knowhow and tools to troubleshoot, diagnose, and fix a recreational vehicles system failures, and they have access to the various parts that may or may not need to be replaced when the systems break down. RV diagnostics and repair technicians will also perform all of the regular maintenance needing to be done to recreational vehicles, which is generally more extensive than other vehicles.
