Writer

Business writing encompasses a variety of jobs including: copywriting, article writing, technical writing, freelancing, and more. Professional writers are often called upon to generate reports, memorandums, proposals, standard operating procedures, training manuals, articles, mission statements, newsletters and a variety of other documents. Business writers are expected to communicate messages effectively, concisely, and quickly, often on a variety of topics. Depending on the ability and training of a particular writer, they may focus wholly on one aspect of business writing, such as technical writing, or they may cross over into multiple fields. Business writers are hired sometimes for individual jobs or often into regular positions inside a company to compose documents regularly. Writers can also be hired for consultation with individuals to give advice and training for projects such as autobiographies and memoirs, or as consultants and advisors to novels and nonfiction, serving in part as editors of current projects.
