Business writing encompasses a variety of jobs including: copywriting, article writing, technical writing, freelancing, and more. Professional writers are often called upon to generate reports, memorandums, proposals, standard operating procedures, training manuals, articles, mission statements, newsletters and a variety of other documents. Business writers are expected to communicate messages effectively, concisely, and quickly, often on a variety of topics.
Depending on the ability and training of a particular writer, they may focus wholly on one aspect of business writing, such as technical writing, or they may cross over into multiple fields.
